Once again this year, Miranda Haak of 4ESG Consulting was able to announce the winners of the Best Sustainable Product of the Year 2022-2023.

The winners are Undiemeister premium undergarments, AH Remainers and BRAUZZ. Laundry strips.

In addition to these winners in the sustainable category, 56 more products were awarded by consumers. The election was organized for the ninth time by Q&A Insights and Consumer Contest Company. Over 50,000 ratings were given on 223 products in the past few months.

Miranda was delighted to once again reveal the award for Best Sustainable Product. During the award ceremony she indicated that transparency about sustainability is also important for retailers. It is no longer sufficient to state without verification that something is sustainable. More and more consumers find sustainability important, and want more information about sustainable products. By being more transparent to consumers, you show as a company that you are committed to improving the environment and working conditions. It is great to see that increasingly more retailers are paying attention to this and are committed to sustainability.

In addition, there is additional legislation requiring companies to report on their environmental and social impact. This is a major challenge for many companies because it requires the collection and evaluation of many different types of data, both financial and non-financial.  In particular, reporting on non-financial data is a challenge because (good) quantitative and qualitative data is not always available, such as data relating to waste, CO2 emissions from the vehicle fleet, use of plastics, circularity, etc.

With proper reporting and associated accountability, more transparency and awareness is created within the company itself and also among consumers, suppliers, and investors and you can show that you are successful in achieving your sustainability goals. Ultimately, this can lead to your product being named the winner of Best Sustainable Product of the Year!
